LEER EN ESPAÑOL

Today’s our #WhiteWednesday and since we’re always talking about healthy food and health in general, I want to talk to you about:

3 Facts about cow’s milk you need to know

1. Pasteurization of milk destroys beneficial bacteria along with the bad ones and destroys enzymes essential for nutrient absorption.

Milk pasteurization destroys all its phosphatase, which is essential for calcium absorption and calcium works with Vitamin D, is not only available through the sun, but it is an essential nutrient in raw cream.

2. Heating any raw food destroys the active enzymes, so lipase (a unique enzyme in milk and that is needed to complete the digestion of fats) gets thrown away along with many other essential nutrients that pasteurization destroys.

3. It’s considered the main cause of allergies in children, according to the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.

Milk is also rich in saturated fat and cholesterol. Some studies even relate to diabetes and even osteoporosis, because due to being low in magnesium, leaves the bones absorb calcium.

So, if you’re having cow’s milk, make sure it is raw and not pasteurized.
