LEER EN ESPAÑOL

Many people say they have taken a healthier by choosing decision an organic product in the supermarket, but there are those who differ, according to Stanford University, is not so clear if this is true or not.

“There is not much difference between organic and conventional foods, if you are an adult and makes a decision solely because of their health”, said Dr. Dena Bravata, lead author of a study comparing the nutrition of organic foods and conventional, published in the Annals of Internal Medicine.

However, some studies have found that organic food is 25% more nutritious in terms of vitamins and minerals and only costs 20% more. After seeing all you have to spend on medicine and health care, then we could say that organic food is cheaper.

Over 400 chemical pesticides are routinely used on conventional farms and waste continue in non-organic food even after washing.

Wheat, tomatoes, potatoes (potatoes), onions, lettuce and cabbage organic are between 20% and 40% more nutrients than non-organic food.

Conventional unhealthy food:

  • Soda,
  • Fried chicken,
  • Hot dog,
  • nachos,
  • Cheesecake,
  • Chicken nuggets,
  • Fries,
  • Burgers (beef, chicken, fish)
  • Popcorn, among others.

Overall non-organic food may seem more “appetizing” and in fact studies show that causes addiction due to oils, and in some cases chemicals used to treat such foods.

Every time you buy food outside or go to the supermarket, ask yourself if you really worth exposing your health before such risks by not wanting to pay a few cents more. Cheap good quality before quantity and harmful.
