Hypoallergenic pets

For those of you who have pets and are experts in the field, there’s a big dilemma … Are there truly hypoallergenic pets? Do those reduce the risks of allergy to their hair?..

I have a friend whose son always wanted a pet dog, but her husband was suffering from allergic problems every time he shared space with a little furry one. I became interested in the issue, so I began to investigate and discovered that no pets are completely immune to allergies, but there are some breeds that produce fewer allergens (variables that cause allergy) and thus reduce the chances of getting these reactions.

Hypoallergenic animals can range from specific breeds of dogs, cats, and fish, to less traditional pets like turtles.

These breeds of dogs are most suitable for allergy sufferers:

  • Those who have little hair: American Hairless Terrier and Chinese Crestado
  • Those who loose little hair: Caniche, Schnauzer or Bichón Frisé
  • Those that have humankind of hair: Yorkshire terrier has a fur which pH matches the human.

The easiest option…

If you still have doubts, you can always have other pets that are less likely to give allergies, such as fish or turtles.
