Analgesic plants for headaches

I have noticed that many families consider analgesics a totally must-have, they buy it like if they were food, and although we could consider the headache a common condition, is actually a symptom that something is wrong. The majority of headaches are caused by mental or muscle tension, fatigue, tiredness and hormonal changes; none of these reasons should alarm us, but, is it really necessary to always use a pill? Perhaps we are polluting our bodies with chemicals that we could avoid, so it is best to weigh the situation to use natural solutions.

This time I won’t talk about tea, vegetables and fruits, but about three herbs that can get rid of an annoying headache: basil, chamomile and lavender. This trio, together or separately, have a quick and safe action if its essential oils are used to eliminate the headache: through massage; boiling water and placing a few drops to breathe the steam; and putting 6 drops of oil in a cup of water to wet a cloth to be placed in the head and neck.

Other benefits of these oils are:

Basil, relieves pain in general (head wounds, bruises, arthritis, burns, etc.) is anti-emetic, improves blood circulation, relieves stress, fights infections and is used to treat cough, asthma, bronchitis and sinusitis.

Lavender, known as the king of the oils, has regenerative and anti-inflammatory properties in the skin and bloodstream, is antispasmodic for minor sore throat and bronchi, reduces pain, is antiseptic and a wonderful sedative used since time old in bathrooms and inhalations.

Chamomile, is magnificent for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, combat digestive problems and arteriosclerosis, improves skin and hair, uses soothing, relaxing and natural salve.
