We, women, love to try new diets all the time! In my story, I’ve made a few crazy diets and some were a bit “radical” but the truth is they were unhealthy, and one temporarily manage to lose a few extra pounds but you always end up gaining a few more.

That’s why it’s best to try diets that have valid medical nutritional level fundamentals that are as natural as possible, and little abrasive to our body. Have you ever heard of the Dukan diet?

The French nutritionist Pierre Dukan was the creator of this diet, in 2000, and since then it has been spreading around the world as the Dukan diet. Why has it been so succesful? Obviously the positive results that people who have tried it have had.

How does the Dukan diet work?

The Dukan diet consists in 4 stages called attack, cruise, consolidation and stabilization. The Dukan diet states that you should eat foods combined with regular physical activity.Esta es una dieta de consumo hiperproteico. A continuación te coloco las fases:

  • The attack phase, where only proteins are eaten, for allegedly burning fat reserves.
  • The cruise phase, in which only 2.8% of all food will be vegetables.
  • The consolidation phase of the Dukan diet, where you begin to integrate different pleasurable foods (vegetables – carbohydrates) while keeping one day a week to consume 100% protein.
  • Finally, the stabilization phase. At this stage you have to eat healthy keeping a day of protein. And you must continue it for long to avoid any rebound.

Beyond the possible loss of weight you can get, this diet has strict and a little radical cornerstones. What do you think?
