Homemade Recipes For Oily Hair

You know how this feels: you wash your hair in the morning, it looks perfect then, but at the end of the day … it’s greasy again. Oily hair is fairly common, but you can minimize it using some home products.

On our #PinkTuesday I’ll share some tips that may help you:

1. If you wash your hair daily, use a special product for oily hair. Rinse it thoroughly, don’t leave any shampoo residue because it will attract dirt and grease.

2. Create your own shampoo by mixing a cup of neutral shampoo, with a teaspoon of aloe vera and a teaspoon of lemon.

Wash your hair with this mixture once a week. You can keep it in the fridge to preserve.

3. If you need to use conditioner, use it only on the tips. Don’t brush your hair for too long as doing so accelerates oil production.

4. If you are in a hurry and can’t wash your hair. Apply a little baby powder on y0ur hands and then on the scalp. Wait 5 minutes and comb it. Baby powder absorbs oil.

5. After shampooing, rinse your hair with lemon, cider vinegar or tea, then with water. These acidic ingredients inhibit oil production.

6. As a humectant, mix two egg yolks with a few drops of lemon. Apply this conditioner on wet hair, leave it for 5 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
