Hoy martes rosa, dedicado a la mujer quiero hablarte sobre el Síndrome de Sjogren  el cual es causante de la sequedad en nuestro cuerpo, es más casi se podria decir que provoca un desierto en la piel.

Esto se debe que el Síndrome de Sjogren produce mal funcionamiento del sistema immune, por lo cual nuestras glándulas exocrinas que son la encargadas de la producción de la mucosidad y humedad no trabajan adecuadamente, causando los siguientes síntomas:

  • Ojos secos
  • Boca seca
  • Piel seca

Cuidados en el hogar

El cambio de hábitos a la hora del baño puede ser de ayuda, por lo que se recomienda intentar lo siguiente:

  1. Disminuir el tiempo de las duchas.
  2. Utilizar agua tibia (no caliente).
  3. Disminuir el uso de jabón en lo posible y limitar su uso a la cara, las axilas y los genitales si puede.
  4. La piel se debe secar completamente pero en forma suave, dando golpecitos y no frotando.

Dry Skin Syndrome

Sjogren’s syndrome is causing a world of dryness in our body, almost you could say that it causes a desert in our body.

This is due to Sjogren’s syndrome is causing malfunction of our immune system, so that our Exocrine glands that are responsible for the production of mucus and moisture in our body have a malfunction, causing dryness:

  • Dry eyes
  • Dry mouth
  • Dry skin

Home Care

Changing your habits at bath time can be helpful, so it is recommended to try the following:

  1. Reduce the time of the showers.
  2. Use warm water (not hot).
  3. Reduce the use of soap as possible and limit its use to face, armpits, and genitals if you can.
  4. The skin should be dried thoroughly but gently, tapping and not rubbing strongly.
