En esta semana de la tierra quiero darle un espacio a lo extraño y asombroso que tiene el planeta tierra. Hay tantas maravillas escondidas que se me hace difícil enumerar una, pero hoy quise dedicar este post a las 7 plantas más extrañas, aquellas que seguro nos dejarían asombrados con su belleza/rareza. ¡Disfruten!

Rafflesia Arnoldii
Only grows in Indonesia. It is a parasitic plant, stems not just root. It basically consists of a flower with five petals with more than 106 cm diameter and greater weight to 10 kg. There is a smaller species, the Rafflesia manillaza, with flowers of about 20 cm in diameter. The Rafflesia arnoldii is a very rare and difficult species to find, particularly in bloom, as the cocoon takes months to develop and flourish and flower lasts a few days.
Hydnora africana | African Hydnora
It is a plant that grows underground, except a fleshy flower that emerges above ground and emits an odor of feces to attract its natural pollinators (dung beetles mostly) The flowers act as traps for a brief period of retention when they enter the beetles.Awesome!

Los frutos son altamente venenosos y toda la planta es considerada tóxica para los seres humanos.
