En los últimos días seguramente has oido hablar acerca del Chikungunya. Se trata de un virus que transmiten los mosquitos Aedes aegypti y albopictus (los mismos del dengue), que nació en Tanzania en 1952 y luego produjo brotes en África y Asia. A fines del año pasado desembarcó en la región de América Central y el Caribe, donde generó más de 350.000 casos.

El origen de esta palabra viene de la lengua africana makonde, que quiere decir “doblarse por el dolor”.

La agresividad de los síntomas de la chikungunya y la rápida propagación del virus han despertado la creatividad de la población no sólo para imaginarse la fuente de contagio, sino además para buscarle remedios, como el ya popular te de mango verde con especias.

Te de mango verde con canela y malagueta

  1. Dos Mangos Verdes y si son medio nuevos mejor.
  2. Lávalos bien, luego córtelos rebanaditos y coloquemos en un recipiente
  3. Échale Canela y malagueta al punto (es una clase de pimienta).
  4. Pónlo a fuego y dele veinte minutos.
  5. Colóca un poco de Azúcar a tu gusto.
  6. Tómalo cada dos horas por tacitas

Recuerda tomar las precauciones necesarias y evitar tener depósitos con agua estancada que puede servir para darle vida a los mosquitos o zancudos que lo transmiten y si crees que tienes síntomas visita a tu médico y toma medidas para evitar la propagación en tu grupo familiar.
