Have you ever heard about sleep apnea?

 LEER EN ESPAÑOL

Sleep Apnea is a common disorder in which the person who suffers it makes one or more pauses in breathing or has shallow breathing while sleeping.

These pauses can last from a few seconds to several minutes. They often occur 30 times or more per hour. Usually, breathing returns to normal, sometimes with a loud snoring or with a similar sound to when a person chokes.

Sleep Apnea is almost always a chronic (constant) health condition that disrupts you while sleeping. The person goes from deep sleep to light sleep when there’s a pause in breathing or when breathing becomes shallow.

For this reason, the person experiences a low quality sleeping cycle and will feel tired throughout the day. This sleeping condition is one of the main reasons why a person may feel very sleepy during the day.

Sleep apnea is a potentially serious sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts. You may have sleep apnea if you snore loudly and you feel tired even after a full night’s sleep.
