Do you know any chia recipes? It’s no coincidence that the Mayan meaning of this seed is “strength”, because it has so many benefits for your health and body as years. So today let me introduce you to the so-called “Hispanic sage”; which came into our lives to delight us with its wealth of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to help you lose weight, control cravings, give you a boost of energy and stay hydrated.

These seeds are perfect for us we love to give a healthy taste. And its delicious taste makes it a perfect complement to many dishes we know perfectly. Here is some chia recipes:

Energizing oats balls and chocolate chips

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of oatmeal
  • ⅔ cups of shredded coconut
  • ½ cup of peanut butter
  • ½ cup of ground flaxseed
  • ⅔ cups of chocolate chips
  • ⅓ cup of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Preparation: In a large bowl, mix all ingredients, cover and let rest for 30 minutes. Then make balls the size you prefer. And finally, place them on a tray and leave at room temperature or in the refrigerator.

Almond butter, chia seeds, cinnamon and maple.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of raw almonds
  • 2 tablespoons of whole flax seeds
  • 2 tablespoons of hemp seed
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation: Preheat oven to 300F and cover the pan with parchment to prevent sticking. Then in a large bowl, mix almonds, flax seeds, hemp and chia and maple syrup. Spread the mixture on the pan and let it bake for 30 minutes, not to mention having spent stir 15 minutes.Remove from oven and let it cool. Then place it in a food processor for 10 minutes, adding vanilla, salt and cinnamon. Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 3 tablespoons of chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 ½ cups of almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Preparation: Mix all ingredients in a bowl, let stand for 10-15 minutes. Then add the mixture to a hot skillet. Turn it when you see bubbles in the middle of the pancake and let it cook for 3-5 minutes.

Banana bread and chia seeds

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups of flour
  • 2 tablespoons of baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of softened butter or whipped
  • ½ cups of sugar
  • 1/3 cup of chia seeds
  • 2 mashed bananas
  • ½ cup of almond milk

Preparation: Preheat oven to 400 degrees and grease a loaf pan. In a large bowl, combine butter, egg, bananas and sugar. In a medium bowl add the flour, salt, baking powder and then mix them all. When you are done, add chia seeds on top. Place the dough into a loaf pan and bake for 60 minutes.
