Lentil Burgers Recipe

Lentil Burgers Recipe

No matter what the ocassion is, I will always support not eating meat. This post is dedicated to those who respect Easter week.

Catholics or not, this is a week you should always take to think about your life, I certainly do so. I believe that just like Jesus, who stand up for His truth, we should also uphold each one’s truth, and you can see I’ve had troubles defending my identity.

This year I decide to let go. Just let go. I encourage to do it, it’s easier to move forward. Let go and then fill your life with good friendships, love, work and of course, good and healthy food.

This is why I’m sharing a vegan recipe today: Lentil burgers recipe!

Ingredients for 5 servings

  • 200 grams of lentils (raw)
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 1 onion
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. I buy prepared or semi prepared lentils so I don’t have to cook them for long. I like the ones that have no chemical additives.
  2. With the help of a blender or food processor, we beat the lentils well leaving a thin dough.
  3. Add onion and garlic cloves. You can put sea salt or pink salt, I prefer the spices I combine to not use salt, then a tablespoon ground cumin is added, mixing it all well.
  4. Spray your oven with grapeseed oil, and heated to 150 F. Let meanwhile forming the burgers with hands. If the texture is not ideal, we can help with some breadcrumbs or chickpea flour.
  5. We seared the burgers on both sides. Careful not to burn, you must turn several times.
