Loofah, as it is known in the United States, is a natural fiber in the form of a sponge ,used to scrub or exfoliate the skin while bathing. I called it “Sacate”.
I once tried a marine sponge and I loved the bubbles and the soft feeling of it but after doing research I found that those sponges are alive in the ocean, hello? A dead animal in your shower, I don’t think so.
So I stayed with my sacate! The Sacate of my Mexican mother, out of a root or a seed of a tree.
The important thing is to learn how you should use a natural fiber instead of those natural or artificial sponges.
