Say goodbye to stress with this relaxing self-massage

Are you stressed out? Chances are your body gets tired and your muscles tense. The pain caused by stress can be really annoying, and affects our workday, that’s why today I want a relaxing self-massage with tennis balls.

Knowing what are the problem areas is the first step to begin this self-massage. Stress usually affects hands, feet, back and legs. Our muscles tense when sitting at our desks, and that’s why we must direct our self-massage in a timely manner to different areas.

Let’s start with your hands and feet:

Many people who spend more than eight hours at the computer suffer from carpal tunnel, which irritates the nerve that is between the wrist and fingers syndrome. Try this massage:

Place the ball under the palm of the hand or foot, pressing the surface where the ball is supported. Roll the ball between your fingers and palm/plant for at least 5 minutes and then change hands. You’ll get this relaxing exercise.

The back:

The lumbago is one of the worst problems for someone working while sitting for long hours. Get on the floor face up, and place the tennis ball under you and roll it until you find the specific point of pain. Hold the position pressing the ball to the point of pain for 4 minutes maximum. Feel the relaxation of muscles.

Legs (knees):

Sit on the floor with leaning right hip. Stretch your legs and place the tennis ball (or a roller) on the part of the hip. Roll on it to the knee, and repeat. You will be massaging the outside of your thighs.
