The variety of apples in the United States is striking. The season brings more than 2,500 types of apples from the smallest and delicious orchards in this country.
So we take advantage of apple season to satisfy our palates and enjoy all the benefits it has, especially when combined with a sweet and healthy way in this apple pie detox smoothie.
Apples are rich in fiber, vitamin A and C, iron, magnesium, potassium and flavonoids. Their regular consumption helps losing weight and prevents chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. It’s important not to remove the skin of the apple, since two thirds of the fiber and antioxidants are found in it.
Added to this detox smoothie, you can get allspice, that if you get it, is the perfect match for the regular cinnamon. This nut is native to the Caribbean, and was intended as a pepper when scientists thought it was a combination of cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg.Delicious!
