Hands’ exfoliation, same as body’s, make the skin not only look prettier and healthier but it is also a way to remove roughness, reduce dryness, and help moisture penetrate the skin.
So today I want to give you 2 recipes of homemade natural exfoliants for your hands. Ingredients are so common and easy to find!
Since these recipes are special for hand I must remind you that it is only for hands, it is not to be used on other parts of the body. They could be too rough for some parts, such as the face for example.
Exfoliant sugar and sea salt
Ingredients:
- · ¼ cup of sea salt
- · ¼ cup of sugar
- · 1 spoon of coconut oil
- · 2 spoons of honey
- · 1 spoon of lemon juice
Preparation: Mix in a bowl the honey with the coconut oil. In another bowl mix the salt, sugar and lemon juice. Then put both mixes together and store it in a glass jar.
Application: massage your hands thoroughly with the mix in circular movements, wash with warm water and dry with a soft towel.
Exfoliant made with sugar and olive oil
Ingredients:
- · ½ cup of sugar
- · 3 spoons of water
- · 3 spoons of olive oil
Preparation: You surely have all these ingredients at home. To prepare the exfoliant all you need to do is to mix them until it gets consistence.
Application: With your hands, massage softly until sugar is dissolved. Remove with warm water and dry carefully. Repeat it twice a week.
