LEER EN ESPAÑOL

To start the weekend I share a very refreshing drink whose origins are Persian. This is the Sekanjabin, a sweet drink vinegar-based supplemented with grated cucumber. It’s only natural and delicious!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 2 ½ cups of natural water
  • 1 cup mint leaves
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cucumber grated

You must dissolve the sugar in water and boil. Then, lower the heat and place the vinegar, cook this preparation  for half an hour. Remove from heat and add the mint leaves washed properly. Refrigerate for 4 hours.

To consume this syrup, must serve about ¼ cup into a glass and fill with water (still or sparkling). Add grated cucumber, a little ice and enjoy the freshness of Sekanjabin.

 Happy weekend!
