Ahora me pregunto ¿cómo será mi próximo viaje?

My next trip back to Venezuela #YoVoyPorDelta #MyNextTripBackContest

Thanks to the partnership I have with Delta on this post, I am sharing my trip back home

It’s been two years since I was last in my beloved Venezuela. My heart is thorn apart. Although I am the daughter of Mexican and Italian inmigrants, I must acknowledge that Venezuela is part of my whole being.

I try to live the experience of my land through the flavor of its food, my friends and what I live day by day as an american inmigrant. And I say “American” because I live in this country that has given me so much of what I am.

That’s why my next trip #YoVoyPorDelta #MyNextTripBackContest

Now I wonder, how would my next trip will look like? Will it be full of landscapes and different smells? Because the land you left behind once, will never be the same.

The Merida mountain, the beach landscapes and the flat mountain of Canaima. Oh my Canaima, hidden treasure in a land where I am certain that the CREATOR takes vacations.

How I miss eating an “empanada” at 3AM or a the warmth of a family hug. Then I realize that any latin from Mexico, Central or South America must feel the same way I do.

My hands sweat but my soul rejoices knowing that I can go back. That street that saw me growing up, that wall where I wrote a graffiti for a love that was never responded, that stage where I sang and entertained thousands of people.

That space will always be mine. No one will stop me from getting back there in my next trip.

Delta can make my trip a reality by participating in their #MyNextTripBackContest and it can make yours too.
