  3. Foods low in saturated fats and trans fat, that are also high in fiber can help prevent high cholesterol.
  4. Limiting salt (sodium) in your diet can also lower your blood pressure.

Lose weight and exercise more!

Your lifestyle is not only your best defense against heart disease and strokes, it’s also your responsibility.

High blood pressure, cigarette smoking, and high blood cholesterol are still major contributors to the national epidemic of cardiovascular disease.
