I admit loving winter clothing, elegant, mysterious and magnificent, boots, coats, and some touches of fur to feel like Hollywood Stars, but the proximity of Spring brings much inspiration to me too.
Much lighter clothing, no itchy wool scarves and gloves that end in the lost accessories heaven … In the spring we do not have that problem, and this next one is ethereal and fun at the same time, key words: pastel colors, cupcakes, lace and flowers.
One of the most romantic Spring Seasons we have had, lilac, turquoise, pinks and touches of salmon and pistacchio.
Think also of fruit sorbets, those are the colors of Spring 2012. Platform sandals, kitten stylized heels too, think Audrey Hepburn.
High waisted skirts and A-shape and circle skirts, also knee pencil skirts, silk blouses printed with flowers or polka dots, wide belts with a touch of color to add a cool accent.
Lots of lace trims and cotton lace in entire dresses and silk shirts, feminine and light for when temperatures start to rise. Fresh make-up with touches of pearl and, for the young and adventurous, fluorescent accents on bags, shoes and accessories, also on the eyelids.
Use combinations and proportions appropriate for each situation and silhouette, never large prints on pencil skirts if you have generous hips, but rather small graphics on a dark background.
Also, stay away from tight white skirts if you tend to have prominent buttocks and hips, for these kinds of figures it is better to wear high waisted and A-shaped skirt that tends to distract from minor flaws, a nice wide belt shapes your figure.
