Me encanta viajar…

Make your trip a healthy experience

I love traveling … I have met many parts of the world and have enjoyed my trips to the fullest. One of the special things about traveling is to know the culture by being in direct contact with it. Food is one of the pleasures of the traveler, and we almost always gain some unwanted pounds.

What happens is that your physical and eating routine is broken when you travel. You tend to eat things that wouldn’t normally do, and you stop going to the gym to enjoy the rides and places you are visiting. And this is not good! Everything is based on the balance between your routine and your experience … that’s why today I want to share with you some tips to stay healthy on your trip.

Wake up to your detox

You only need 1 cup of warm water and the juice of half a lemon. This is a detoxifying infusion that will improve your digestion, made alkaline your body and improve your skin. (Find out more about the alkaline diet here)

Carry spirulina with you

There are natural spirulina pills you can take in your suitcase. This gives you energy, detoxifies, controls blood sugar levels and strengthens the immune system. You can drink it right after your infusion of water with lemon. Approx. 500mg. (Read more about spirulina here)

Make a mini market

You might want to try all the restaurants of the place, but this doesn’t just affect your health but your budget. Try to go to a small market to buy fruit, oatmeal, water, nuts. This can be excellent for breakfast, snack or light dinner.

Besides giving you a relaxing effect, they will satiate anxiety. My favorites are the mint tea and green tea. Drinking tea will help improve your digestion after eating.

Work out

You can bring your favorite sneakers or your yoga mat. It depends on what you enjoy doing. Spend at least 30 minutes a day to exercise.

 Walk, breathe and enjoy

You’ll burn calories while you know the place. Avoid using transport, get through your day organically.

The most important thing is to give yourself to the experience of traveling without forgetting that your routine should travel with you. You might want to disconnect from home, but your body will thank feel a bit at home.
