Excellent for dieting
Rice milk is excellent for weight loss, it also prevents cardiovascular problems due to its content of flavonoids.
One cup a day stimulates the immune system and protects the body from harmful organisms.
- 1 cup of organic brown rice
- 8 cups of water
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil
- 4 tablespoons of maple syrup or honey
- Vitamin complexes (optional)
Boil the water and when is bubbling (about to boil), place the rice and reduce heat to its lowest level. Cook rice for 3 hours with the pot covered.
After that time pour salt, stir a bit and away the wave of fire. Cool slightly and then blend until you have a smooth consistecy. Take your time to process all the grains of rice.
Add sunflower oil, syrup or honey and continue blending. If you want to add calcium or vitamins, this is the time.
Strain the resulting product a few times and pour the rice milk in very tightly covered jars.
Note: Keep in mind that that if you find the milk a little too thick, you can add a little more water until it reaches the desired consistency.
